Blog posts may be a bit sporadic over the next week as I’ll often be separated from the electronic world. My wife and I are currently hiking around Utah’s Wasatch mountains over the long holiday weekend, then we’re back home to California for all of one or two days before going to northern Michigan to see my mother in-law.
Regular readers know that my mother in-law often stimulates some lean thinking in me, so perhaps I’ll come back with some new insight into the world of enterprise excellence. For your reading pleasure, the following are some old posts at least partially inspired by her:
- Oprah, Dr. Phil, and Karma: What watching non-stop talk shows can teach us about lean.
- Less Storage Space Desired: Why is it important to have a house with a lot of closets? Instead reduce the stuff that needs to be stored!
- One Piece Flow and the Power of Chaos… In Italian Traffic: Why is Italian traffic so chaotic, with no signals… yet you seem to get where you’re going faster compared to "controlled" U.S. traffic flow?
- Adventures in Customer Service: What we learned while dealing with the passing of my father in-law.
Enjoy! Remember… I’ll be at my mother in-law’s…
