The annual conference of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence is in Chicago next week. This is the largest lean conference in the world, and once again it has sold out. Next week’s conference looks like a winner, with many great tours, pre- and post-conference workshops, and a very large number of presentations and workshops during the week. Continuing AME’s emphasis on being "by practitioners for practitioners" most of the presentations are by people at companies that have actually done lean.
As an AME management team slave, I’ll be the room host for a couple of the presentations on Thursday: Leveraging the Strengths of Suppliers at 9:20am and Supply Management Value Stream at 10:50am. If you’re at the conference, stop by and say hi.
I hope to see you there. And if you can’t make it, registrations are already coming in for the 2008 conference in Toronto.
