Fellow lean blogger Mark Graban of the Lean Blog is running the following charity auction!
——
Norman Bodek has graciously collaborated with me on this exciting project.
I am auctioning off a custom audio CD set (4 CDs) of Norman's LeanBlog Podcasts, the cover of which he has autographed. Norman is also offering your choice of one of his PCS Press publications, personally autographed to the auction winner (or their designate). Thanks again to Norman for his participation.
There
are three copies of this autographed set that will ever be made — one
for myself, one for Norman, and one for this auction. This is a very
unique Lean collectible for yourself or the biggest Lean fan you know.
The PCS Press books you can choose from are:
- Kaikaku: The Power and Magic of Lean
- Jit Is Flow
- The Idea Generator: Quick and Easy Kaizen
- Kaizen and the Art of Creative Thinking – The Scientific Thinking Mechanism
100%
of the proceeds from this auction will benefit the Josie King
Foundation, a group that has also cooperated with setting up the
eBay auction (the auction must have their formal approval to be listed
as a charity auction on eBay). I will be paying the auction sell fees
out of pocket. The winner will be asked to write a check that I will
forward to the Foundation (and I can get you a receipt for tax
purposes).
The Josie King Foundation:
On February 22, 2001, eighteen-month old Josie King died from medical errors.
98,000 people die every year from medical errors, making it the fourth leading cause of death in the United States.
The
Josie King Foundation’s mission is to prevent others from dying or
being harmed by medical errors. By uniting healthcare providers and
consumers, and funding innovative safety programs, we hope to create a
culture of patient safety, together.
All eBay fees will be paid by me, the seller, so the full auction winning price will go to the Foundation.
If
you're a blogger, please blog about this or link to the auction or this
blog post. Or, feel free to email this to your friends in the Lean
world.
