Mixed model scheduling – not just for factories any more …

I like this. “Level your load and get loaded.”
Seriously, as someone who likes to try different beers I’ve been a fan of this practice for several years now (leveling my load of beers – not getting loaded).

Great example! Where is this store? I noticed the Viking and Packer coolers and was wondering if this is in Minnesota and where. I have never seen this and would like the chance to mix up a six pack evrey now and again. However, I could just buy one of each and share with my closest friends and talk about your blog. Either way, where is this place?
Sorry Joe. The picture was taken in Snyder’s Pharmacy in Dixon, Illinois – the heart of Bears country. I can only assume the Bears gear was sold out and you are looking at stuff they stocked for the occasional lost Packers and Vikings fans who might wander through.

… Or maybe Vikings fans, and to a lesser extent, Packers fans, have had more of a reason to drink this season than have Bears fans.
They do this at ABC Liquor as well.
A great way to try a variety of beers without having to commit to a 6- or 12-pack of something you end up not liking.
A good production technique as well.
Mix and Match what you want, rather than buying what you don’t.

This is also the practice at Wegman’s supermarkets. The store I was in a PA had two stations, which was good because the first one was packed. An astute cashier mentioned the other station and “presto” no waiting!
