I just came across this exciting video on Lean Accounting. Unknown to me, it's been out on YouTube for half a year or so. If this riveting, keep-you-on-the-egde-of-your-seat bit of cinematography doesn't convince your execs to pursue Lean Accounting nothing will …
Rajiv Agrawala says
Where’s the part where you grind up stuff in a high-powered kitchen appliance? :-)
Bill Waddell says
They left it on the cutting room floor Rajiv; and I thought it was my best acting!
Support Squad says
Lean accounting is not so familiar, but bill proves that it really matters specially in our accounts. Nice video but i know there are more hidden;)
Jim says
My son, who is in college studying business, told me that one of the first classes he is required to take is lean accounting. It’s definitely catching on. Pretty cool.
Bill Waddell says
Jim,
That’s great to hear. After the first Lean Accounting Summit a number of the thought leaders concluded that accountants couldn’t be re-educated as fast the the colleges were churning out mis-educated ones. To address it a number of them, including Frances Kennedy from Clemson, have been working hard at outreach to the academic community. There are scholarships for Lean Accounting and faculty recognition programs at the Summit, and it seems as though it is paying off.
Glad to hear your son is going to an enlightened school.
